The Los Angeles Times dubbed James Supercave as "maestro's of surrealist pop" while the Orange County Weekly labeled James Supercave "indie icons". Supercave continues their ascent on top of an already prolific 2023. Starting the year with the release of their single ‘THE SITUATION’; headlining shows in major cities around the country; tour supporting Alt Pop sensation, Yoke Lore; booking syncs in spots for Vans, ABC Family, VH1, and feature films; and now with the release of their sophomore full length album “GIMMICK” - James Supercave are building on top their unique blend of indie/alt-pop that’s earned them the reputation of turning “off kilter pop melodies into indie gold” (KCRW).
James Supercave have most recently celebrated their new album GIMMICK with a record release show at the world-famous Troubadour which had a line out the door, with 2024 tour dates and further releases on the horizon.
Much of the album was recorded in Gus Seyffert’s studio (Roger Waters, Beck, Black Keys), mixed by Carlos de la Garza (Paramore, M83) and mastered by Dave Cooley (J Dilla’s ‘Donuts’, Tame Impala). Drums performed by Joey Waronker (Roger Waters, R.E.M., Paul McCartney, Beck, etc).
